Kratom, a plant called Mytragyna Speciosa which belongs to the coffee family tree and, is native to the Southeast Asia like Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Myanmar. Traditionally, people use Kratom to alleviate pain, improve their mood, overcome insomnia and depression, increase energy and motivation. To add a sense to their well being.

A lot of people who suffers from chronic pain, once they found out about Kratom usually go with it and never look back. For them it is an option to live holistically without being dependant on prescribed medication. The same with drug addicts who wants to call it quit. Rather than putting more substance into their body to flush out the bad chemical, they let their body heals with nature’s way.

But its not all sugar and sweets, just like everything else Kratom can show some side effect to certain people when they are getting too much. The most common sides are vomiting, nausea and upset stomach. Even this Therefore it is important to measure yourself accordingly.

Why does Kratom receive so many bad reps? For two reasons:
  1. Demographically the people who are likely to buy Kratom tend to have a bad record or be ex-drug addicts. Society refuses to look beyond this fact to see that these people use Kratom to wean of their addiction of drugs. People who wants a second chance to improve their life, their relationship, their health. Potentially life saving situation.
  2. Most people are not well educated about kratom because there aren’t many researches conducted by doctors or scientist, yet.  This is a rather delicate situation whereas most of them are in pharmaceutical industry that wants to sell pills.  A little too similar with homeopathy cases.

Here is something to think about today.  When coffee first arrived in Italy, it was banned by the government because it is considered satanic? In the year 1511 in Mecca, coffee was also banned because it is believed to stimulate radical thinking? Back then in the 19th century, it was even considered a felony for women to drink tea in Ireland?
